In the 12thth minute of the game Leandro Cordarin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Consejo del Mate's Bernardo Inautzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Consejo del Mate getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Serafin Bautista hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Placido Cordarell got free with Bernardo Inautzi in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abel Neron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benito Galtero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Miguel Frechoso fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Consejo del Mate's protests and gave Miguel Frechoso a yellow card for diving instead. Miguel Frechoso kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Tipi in the 28th minute of play forced Deportivo Balvanera's goalkeeper Abel Neron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Balvanera's zone, Teofilo Benet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Neron came out of the goal and Teofilo Benet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Consejo del Mate booed when Deportivo Balvanera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Chaime didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Inautzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leandro Cordarin's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo Balvanera's Leandro Cordarin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bernardo Inautzi. That made the score 1-0 after 40 minutes of play. In the 44th minute, Rene Restu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leandro Cordarin in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernardo Inautzi saved Consejo del Mate from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leandro Cordarin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Deportivo Balvanera fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Deportivo Balvanera's Leandro Cordarin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 78 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Cordarin came free, but Bernardo Inautzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Inautzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Cordarin in the 89th minute of play. Leandro Cordarin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Inautzi having to interfere. Deportivo Balvanera were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Consejo del Mate for a fine match.
