In the 14th minute Iwo Sawicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Delfino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Delfino came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Tiger's Iwo Sawicki. But to his dismay, Iwo Sawicki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 22 minutes into the match, La Cosa Nostra's goal looked a bit too open when Pentti Ojala came free, but Joel Delfino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Hans Otterlei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Josef Witlatschil was relentless in the 24th minute of the game.
