Jovens Democratas MZC's Marquinhos Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bolko Röhmer in the 6th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Wilian Antunes came free, but Jannik Huth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinei Salles charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudinei Salles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jannik Huth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilian Antunes in the 13th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrick Osterhagen during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Emanuel Branco in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jannik Huth, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilian Antunes to strike the kick off in the second half. Zé Augusto Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Christian Streich managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Streich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marquinhos Diniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
