When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Maicon Gonçalves took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Enrique Belasko to make any attempt to save it. 10 minutes into the game, Maicon Gonçalves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Enrique Belasko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 13th match minute, GalA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Tiso to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Jose Tiso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maicon Gonçalves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Enrique Belasko when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Maicon Gonçalves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Enrique Belasko made a huge save. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind GalA FC's goalkeeper Enrique Belasko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, GalA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Alcântara came free, but Enrique Belasko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lino Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Celino in the 42nd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Erasmo Celino made the kick off in the second half. When GalA FC's Honorio Ritchie in 51 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Lino Araújo guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The supporters of AF CERRADO booed when GalA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute of the match Edinho Meireles shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enrique Belasko showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 60 minutes into the game, GalA FC's Honorio Ritchie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lino Araújo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Lino Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Celino in the 63rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, AF CERRADO's André Luiz da Rocha got a free kick in the 71st minute. AF CERRADO's Lino Araújo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save AF CERRADO from getting a goal against them. 77 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Lino Araújo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Honorio Ritchie. Lino Araújo made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Casimiro Ellande sent off a good shot on target. Bruno Dionísio's late challenge caught a GalA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Dionísio helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave GalA FC a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Casimiro Ellande, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of AF CERRADO's Lino Araújo. 3-4. GalA FC's Honorio Ritchie got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Severino Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The GalA FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
