In the 14th minute, Silvinho Perez sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and LA PANDILLA LOCA's Virgilio Kiliz didn't even have to move. Virgilio Kiliz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrézinho Quadros in the 20th minute of play. Cleto Clementi charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cleto Clementi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Grêmio FBPA booed when LA PANDILLA LOCA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleto Clementi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Elpidio Lehior came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the LA PANDILLA LOCA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elpidio Lehior couldn't finish the play. Ezequiel Modestio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldo Ramos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elpidio Lehior in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronaldo Ramos saved Grêmio FBPA from getting behind. If Pedro Ospetsu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgilio Kiliz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrézinho Quadros in the 63rd minute of the match. Elpidio Lehior recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When LA PANDILLA LOCA's Pedro Ospetsu, in the 72nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for LA PANDILLA LOCA. After 73 played minutes Grêmio FBPA got a freekick which was hit by Silvinho Perez. In the 75th play minute Elpidio Lehior came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ronaldo Ramos. 1-3. Ronaldo Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Favila, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 81stth minute of the game Elpidio Lehior who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio FBPA's Ronaldo Ramos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 83rd minute Elpidio Lehior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grêmio FBPA's Ronaldo Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Lehior in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Cacá Veiga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Virgilio Kiliz. LA PANDILLA LOCA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cacá Veiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. LA PANDILLA LOCA's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
