Constantino Felipo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Matheus Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 11 minutes, Antônio Loureiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marquês de Herval and the OLYMPIACOS FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Marquês de Herval's Antônio Loureiro got a free kick in the 11th minute. Baldomiro Arias took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Matheus Soeiro. Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Matheus Soeiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramiro Lore in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matheus Soeiro saved Marquês de Herval from getting behind. Eliseo Eduino struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Matheus Soeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for OLYMPIACOS FC. After some careless play in the Marquês de Herval defense, Evaristo Guilabertus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matheus Soeiro. The Marquês de Herval fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matheus Soeiro should have stopped the shot. Ramiro Lore took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matheus Soeiro. Matheus Soeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Michel Mandrak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ovidio Oto having to make a save. 43 minutes into the match, OLYMPIACOS FC's Ramiro Lore sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matheus Soeiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Marquês de Herval's Matheus Soeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Marquês de Herval from getting a goal against them. The supporters of OLYMPIACOS FC booed when Marquês de Herval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Siqueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 55 minutes, Eliseo Eduino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. OLYMPIACOS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Eduino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute, OLYMPIACOS FC's Ramiro Lore ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Matheus Soeiro. Matheus Soeiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 60th match minute, Marquês de Herval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Batista to maneuver through the defense. Ramiro Lore in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Matheus Soeiro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Matheus Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Guilabertus in the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Michel Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 played minutes OLYMPIACOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Arias. Marquês de Herval's Matheus Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Guilabertus in the 76th minute of play. Roger de Barros might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ovidio Oto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roger de Barros ran back to his position shaking his head. Marquês de Herval's Matheus Soeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Marquês de Herval from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute Ramiro Lore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matheus Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, OLYMPIACOS FC's Eliseo Eduino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matheus Soeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. If Ramiro Lore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseo Eduino got free with Matheus Soeiro in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched OLYMPIACOS FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
