Budget Goblins's Wasyl Modrzewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lei Feng Yan in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Budget Goblins's Gustaw Ludzia got a free kick in the 11th minute. Wasyl Modrzewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lei Feng Yan, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After some careless play in the S.E.R. Caxias do Sul defense, Cristopher de Alcântara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Esen Sanal. The S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Esen Sanal should have stopped the shot. Esen Sanal came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Budget Goblins's Cristopher de Alcântara. Esen Sanal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Renato Augusto managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's supporters rose to their feet, but Renato Augusto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lei Feng Yan had several of the Budget Goblins's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 40 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Wasyl Modrzewski as he didn't even see the shot coming. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Wasyl Modrzewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lei Feng Yan in the 83rd minute of the match. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Budget Goblins's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lei Feng Yan took the corner. The corner ended in Wellington Fonseca almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Budget Goblins's Wasyl Modrzewski did a great save. It was a well-played corner which Renato Augusto managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Budget Goblins were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's much stronger midfield.
