Johan Beckman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alan Gorria's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Brighton's Albert Lim got a free kick in the 34th minute. After 38 minutes, SK Ramachandran mouthed his way into the referee's book. When Alan Gorria came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Brighton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan Gorria couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Gorria in the 96th minute of play forced Vårby's goalkeeper Johan Beckman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Brighton's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
