Sandu Mândrilă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ariel Leguizamón read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. In the 10th match minute, Playa Malvín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Castro to maneuver through the defense. Zé Roberto Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kemalettin Torhan in the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Stamen Tekeliev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ariel Leguizamón. Clapham Comets F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stamen Tekeliev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 38th minute Kemalettin Torhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Roberto Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Playa Malvín's goal looked a bit too open when Kemalettin Torhan came free, but Zé Roberto Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sandu Mândrilă hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulysses Madureira to make the kick off. Aaron Rambo made in the 66th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jonathan Willetts however managed to control. Playa Malvín's Zé Roberto Teixeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Playa Malvín from getting a goal against them. Niva Espellosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ariel Leguizamón. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niva Espellosa ran back to his position shaking his head. Ariel Leguizamón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niva Espellosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Clapham Comets F.C.'s Ariel Leguizamón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niva Espellosa in the 93rd minute of play.

The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Playa Malvín fans cheered their team off the field, for while Clapham Comets F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
