In the 6th minute, Adolfo Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 9 played minutes Valencia C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Oliver Bean. After having played for 9 minutes, Rodrigo Mafra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia Monte Gordo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Mafra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rodrigo Mafra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s Joe Herring sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mao Zhen Hong narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Academia Monte Gordo's Fabrício Lustosa was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 20th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Fabrício Lustosa had several of the Valencia C.F.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 25 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Jerry Lodge as he didn't even see the shot coming. Valencia C.F.'s Jerry Lodge proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Valencia C.F. from getting a goal against them. When Academia Monte Gordo's Fabrício Lustosa in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Valencia C.F.'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 29th minute of the match Academia Monte Gordo got a corner. Valencia C.F.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rodrigo Mafra ran over to the corner to take the kick. 36 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s goalkeeper Jerry Lodge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabrício Lustosa. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Arias during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th match minute, Valencia C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Arias to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joe Herring in the 42nd minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joe Herring to make the kick off. Valencia C.F.'s Joe Herring got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jerry Lodge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrício Lustosa in the 53rd minute of play. Ricardo Arias hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Jerry Lodge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrício Lustosa in the 57th minute of the match. The corner ended in Boruc Brysz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Valencia C.F.'s Jerry Lodge did a great save. Adélio Infante took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jerry Lodge. Jerry Lodge dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Academia Monte Gordo's Pascual Mouricio was substituted for Arana Ponta. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adélio Infante in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerry Lodge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jerry Lodge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adélio Infante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valencia C.F.'s Jerry Lodge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adélio Infante in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adélio Infante in the 84th minute of play forced Valencia C.F.'s goalkeeper Jerry Lodge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valencia C.F.'s attentive Ricardo Arias managed to snatch the ball when Luciano Tiso made a throw-in in the 89th minute of the game. Mao Zhen Hong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joe Herring in the 92nd minute. 94 minutes into the game, Joe Herring cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Mao Zhen Hong was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valencia C.F. made a substitution. Florentin Gougeon replaced Joe Herring. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Academia Monte Gordo had won after a very even match.
