After 6 played minutes CAN ERZURUM got a freekick which was hit by Cengizhan Soyurgal. When Cengizhan Soyurgal fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CAN ERZURUM's protests and gave Cengizhan Soyurgal a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, CAN ERZURUM's Cengizhan Soyurgal got a free kick in the 8th minute. Randers A.F.C.'s Radim Gola was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joar Scheie in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Joar Scheie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rene Rostholm in the 17th minute. Rene Rostholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 25th minute, Léo Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CAN ERZURUM's Cengizhan Soyurgal quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Léo Barros, made in the 40th minute of the game. 42 minutes into the match, Rene Rostholm dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joar Scheie, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven-Olof Vestlund made a kick off. George Grönlund kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. When Mehmet Şefik Karadağ came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the CAN ERZURUM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Şefik Karadağ couldn't finish the play. Randers A.F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Rene Rostholm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joar Scheie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Randers A.F.C.'s Nik Frisendal was substituted for Radim Gola. Randers A.F.C. made a substitution. Bruno Steenbeck replaced Rene Rostholm. Randers A.F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
