The referee felt a red card was in order, 5 minutes into the game, when Florencio Dimas put in a rough tackle. 4 minutes into the game, one of Las Palmas:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 6 minutes, OLYMPIACOS FC's Ramiro Lore got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Evelio Naike. After 12 played minutes Las Palmas got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Peruxu. Evelio Naike showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Guilabertus, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Evelio Naike showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Lore in the 25th minute of the match. After 26 played minutes OLYMPIACOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Eusebio Eate. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Horacio Sein managed to get in a good position for a shot. Las Palmas's supporters rose to their feet, but Horacio Sein was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidio Oto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, Everardo Bermudez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute, Evaristo Guilabertus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evelio Naike was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The supporters of OLYMPIACOS FC booed when Las Palmas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position.
