In the 13th minute, Nicu Burtea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentin Chirnoagă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Ghelmegean in the 16th minute of play. A collision led to Locomotiva Adjud getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Iulian Cumpan hit a great ball. Ernest Mahonea hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. When Sergiu Zglimbea, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 34 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Nechifor Epure was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.

After 54 played minutes Academia Rio got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Dan. In the 60th minute, Ioan Oltean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Vali Ghelmegean had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valentin Chirnoagă. Locomotiva Adjud's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vali Ghelmegean was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Locomotiva Adjud made a substitution. Eric Cobzeanu replaced Martin Busuioceanu. Valentin Chirnoagă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Ghelmegean in the 69th minute of play. After 71 minutes, Vali Ghelmegean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia Rio and the Locomotiva Adjud players grew even worse after the yellow card. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Valentin Chirnoagă was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vali Ghelmegean hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Locomotiva Adjud's Eric Cobzeanu got a free kick in the 88th minute. Iulian Cumpan kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The Locomotiva Adjud players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
