Herblay's Jules Triboulet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Meira in the 38th minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Bruno Dunoyer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Herblay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Figueira SC FSCMZ the free kick. Bruno Dunoyer kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Malik Vrignon to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Figueira SC FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Malik Vrignon came free, but Marcelo Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Herblay's José Dehais nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The coaching staff of Figueira SC FSCMZ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Danilo Marques had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of Figueira SC FSCMZ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Herblay:s goal. Marcelo Medeiros had in the 77thth minute some difficulties stopping Antonin Daguerre's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Afonsinho Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Figueira SC FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonsinho Donatello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jules Triboulet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 80 minutes into the match, Figueira SC FSCMZ's Luiz Guilherme Paiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jules Triboulet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evaristo Meira got free with Jules Triboulet in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Herblay booed when Figueira SC FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herblay's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
