The crowd rose to their feet as U21 Argentina's Thomas Corredor slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Koldobika Aponte. That made the score 0-3 after 64 minutes of play. Roberto Cherro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Koldobika Aponte having to make a save. Nemesio Baladi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baba Ba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 minutes U21 Argentina's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Berbiz Elguea who took care of the corner kick. Roberto Cherro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Koldobika Aponte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Frichoso Ondovilla threw the ball into play from the sideline. U21 Argentina's Saturnino Honrio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.
