Gigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Abarca, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Rene Abechuco struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Gigi Buffon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Bolivia. Gigi Buffon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kauldi Abar in the 16th minute. Lope Abellaneda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbigniew Pincoski in the 18th minute of the match. Lope Abellaneda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robertas Lewandowski in the 19th minute of play. In the 25th minute Tobias Abarca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, U21 Bolivia's goal looked a bit too open when Marcin Najman came free, but Lope Abellaneda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rodolfo Abecia fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Bolivia's protests and gave Rodolfo Abecia a yellow card for diving instead. Rodolfo Abecia hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Lope Abellaneda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zdzislaw Kręcina in the 32nd minute of play. Kauldi Abar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. U21 Bolivia's Lope Abellaneda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robertas Lewandowski in the 43rd minute of play. Zdzislaw Rydzewski kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

U21 Bolivia made a substitution. Salvadore Abaunza replaced Tobias Abarca. The wind increased when Marcin Najman made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute of the match, Marcin Najman got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lope Abellaneda was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to U21 Bolivia getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Rodolfo Abecia hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, U21 Bolivia's goalkeeper Lope Abellaneda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcin Najman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zdzislaw Rydzewski in the 66th minute of play forced U21 Bolivia's goalkeeper Lope Abellaneda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zdzislaw Kręcina in the 67th minute of play forced U21 Bolivia's goalkeeper Lope Abellaneda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lope Abellaneda came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Poland's Zdzislaw Kręcina. But to his dismay, Zdzislaw Kręcina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. U21 Poland made a substitution. Grzegorz Czerwinski replaced Marcin Najman. Salvadore Abaunza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Buffon having to interfere. In the 79th minute Salvadore Abaunza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Grzegorz Czerwinski in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lope Abellaneda saved U21 Bolivia from getting behind. 82 minutes in the game William Troncoso did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Enrique Parada. 83 minutes into the game, Salvadore Abaunza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gigi Buffon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Grzegorz Czerwinski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lope Abellaneda came out and tried to block the shot, but Grzegorz Czerwinski slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 89th minute. After 94th play minutes Grzegorz Czerwinski shot 1-4, a short shot which went by Lope Abellaneda and just under the crossbar into goal. Gigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kauldi Abar in the 98th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. U21 Poland walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
