In the 5th minute Jordan Hastings shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvidor Vanegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salvidor Vanegas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rory Dobbie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute of the match, Perutxo Arandia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ian McVey saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Smiddy Celts getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Robbie McAdam hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wayne Grigor came free, but Salvidor Vanegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Firmo Urrechua, 37 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 40th minute Firmo Urrechua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian McVey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rory Dobbie in the 42nd minute of play forced JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's goalkeeper Salvidor Vanegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Smiddy Celts's Robbie McAdam nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Salvidor Vanegas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robbie McAdam was the one to do the kick off. If Perutxo Arandia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 60 minutes of play, JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's Perutxo Arandia made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ian McVey was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 62nd match minute, Smiddy Celts was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wayne Grigor to maneuver through the defense. After 64 played minutes JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC got a freekick which was hit by Serapio Falces. Ian McVey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lluc Cribell, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Munro Watson kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 93 minutes, Cameron McVeagh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Smiddy Celts and the JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cameron McVeagh hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Smiddy Celts had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
