The Inter de Chillán fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Inter de Chillán's Vatan Enfal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 10th minute, Albino Zenteno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Ross Strong kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anton Björnberg. That made the score 1-1 in the 15 minute of play. Camillo Daniele recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th minute, Vatan Enfal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter de Chillán fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio in the 33rd minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Anton Björnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ross Strong got free with Anton Björnberg in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anton Björnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ross Strong in the 41st minute of play. Emiliano Furia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Inter de Chillán were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vatan Enfal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Rafaela FC's Esteban Ikatz got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 60th minute, Vatan Enfal made a precise shot to the right of Inocencio Veronica. Rafaela FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Inter de Chillán made a substitution. Rickard Erserman replaced Vatan Enfal. Inocencio Veronica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickard Erserman, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. The throw-in from Octavio Gonzo in the 81st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Inter de Chillán's Albino Zenteno. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Inocencio Veronica, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rafaela FC's Inocencio Veronica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickard Erserman in the 84th minute of play. Anton Björnberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ross Strong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Erserman in the 90th minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Inocencio Veronica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Rafaela FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Inter de Chillán's performance. The match ended with a win for Inter de Chillán.
