The audience was convinced that Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ysmael Marfil was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. If Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rafaela FC! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After taking down the ball on DINAMO's corner Leonard Demian fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Inocencio Veronica quite easily take care of the ball. Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute, Moise Vlădean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
