In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santa Margarita's goalkeeper Pontus Nordström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gerardo Lordi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Branislav Velchevski made a huge save. Branislav Velchevski was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Gerardo Lordi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gerardo Lordi really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Santa Margarita's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pontus Nordström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 65th minute Elpidio Francis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pontus Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elpidio Francis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pontus Nordström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play.
