But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aureliano Karlo couldn't finish the play. AFC FUSION's Aureliano Karlo got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Insúa in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Romulo Abilio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roberto Eztebe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guillermo Maureo's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Guillermo Maureo made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Guillermo Maureo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roberto Eztebe was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Aureliano Karlo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uwe Septinius having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
