Spectators: 5149 (Terracing: 3862, Seating: 1184, VIP seats: 103) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Demetrius Cho made the kick off which started today's match. Dennis Bergkamp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brendan Leblanc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Arrelucea in the 4th minute of the match. Brendan Leblanc came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Peru's Dennis Bergkamp. But to his dismay, Dennis Bergkamp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Hershel Guertin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the match, U21 Canada's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Bergkamp came free, but Brendan Leblanc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16 minutes of play, U21 Peru's Dennis Bergkamp made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brendan Leblanc was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dennis Bergkamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Brendan Leblanc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A nice corner shot did that Juan Arrelucea got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Brendan Leblanc quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Oscar Ibañez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norbert Garland in the 31st minute of the match. 33 minutes into the game, Norbert Garland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Canada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Peru the free kick. After 33 played minutes U21 Canada got a freekick which was hit by Norbert Garland. Marcus Piper kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Brendan Leblanc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Reyes in the 35th minute of the match. Brendan Leblanc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Bergkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rey Pratt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

U21 Peru made a substitution. Iván Sotomayor replaced Dennis Bergkamp. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iván Sotomayor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Demetrius Cho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Ibañez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. U21 Canada's Shaun Wang was substituted for Norbert Garland. After 59 minutes U21 Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rey Pratt who took care of the corner kick. U21 Peru made a substitution. Lucca Payet replaced Michel Platini. 75 minutes into the match, U21 Canada's goalkeeper Brendan Leblanc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucca Payet. Iván Sotomayor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brendan Leblanc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. U21 Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rodrigo Garival in the 81st minute. After 83 minutes, Manual Hope made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. U21 Peru's Oscar Ibañez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 85th minute, Stuart Schmitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brendan Leblanc was a little too slow when Iván Sotomayor got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 1-3. The crowd rose to their feet as U21 Peru's Iván Sotomayor slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Brendan Leblanc. That made the score 1-4 after 95 minutes of play. The U21 Peru players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
