The audience thought a goal was coming when Gwres Shrieve got free with Stephen Bright in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gruffen Gibson scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stephen Bright, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gwres Shrieve who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Stephen Bright when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of U21 Wales booed when U21 Jordan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damion Croft didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th match minute, U21 Wales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celyn Armstrong to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd of the match, Gwres Shrieve tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Stephen Bright got in the way and made a wonderful save. U21 Wales were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after U21 Jordan's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Caledvwich Keene took the corner. Taffy Finn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joseph Spurgeon, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. If Louie Gardner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stephen Bright took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gruffen Gibson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. U21 Jordan's Stephen Bright proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Jordan from getting a goal against them. When Celyn Armstrong fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Wales's protests and gave Celyn Armstrong a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to U21 Wales getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Celyn Armstrong hit a great ball. U21 Wales's Taffy Finn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louie Gardner in the 41st minute of play. When Caledvwich Keene fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Wales's protests and gave Caledvwich Keene a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to U21 Wales getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Caledvwich Keene hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Louie Gardner was the one to do the kick off. In the 64th minute Gwres Shrieve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephen Bright saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gruffen Gibson fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Wales's protests and gave Gruffen Gibson a yellow card for diving instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mike Shakespeare during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 66 minutes into the game, one of U21 Jordan:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. U21 Jordan:s Stephen Bright showed great skill when he stopped Caledvwich Keene:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwres Shrieve in the 75th minute of play forced U21 Jordan's goalkeeper Stephen Bright to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 played minutes U21 Jordan got a freekick which was hit by Bill Osbourne. The referee felt a red card was in order, 89 minutes into the game, when Digon Goldthorpe put in a rough tackle. 97 minutes into the game, Louie Gardner recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Taffy Finn. Louie Gardner showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The U21 Wales fans cheered their team off the field, for while U21 Jordan had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
