Bernard Ngolepus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Issares Sinprasertwong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Thepchai Raksawong made a precise shot to the right of Bernard Ngolepus. U21 Kenya's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Bernard Ngolepus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Napapon Nasoongnearn in the 24th minute of the match. A collision led to U21 Kenya getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Githinji Rop hit a great ball. U21 Kenya's Bernard Ngolepus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thepchai Raksawong in the 38th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Thepchai Raksawong managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Thailand's supporters rose to their feet, but Thepchai Raksawong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernard Ngolepus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernard Ngolepus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thepchai Raksawong in the 45th minute of the match. In the 47th match minute, U21 Thailand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiitawach Sheampri to maneuver through the defense. Samson Kalekye scored 1-2 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thitichaya Plangrotewatana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Samson Kalekye stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Wangui Mwangi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernard Ngolepus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Issares Sinprasertwong in the 58th minute of the match. Thepchai Raksawong blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernard Ngolepus having to make a save. Thepchai Raksawong hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Issares Sinprasertwong kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 72 played minutes U21 Kenya got a freekick which was hit by Wangui Mwangi. With a little luck, U21 Kenya's Bernard Ngolepus got control of the ball when Issares Sinprasertwong tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of U21 Thailand booed when U21 Kenya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Githinji Rop didn't get a good kick on the ball. U21 Thailand made a substitution. Eknarin Kamcome replaced Thepchai Raksawong. Thitichaya Plangrotewatana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wangui Mwangi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thitichaya Plangrotewatana came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Kenya's Wangui Mwangi. But to his dismay, Wangui Mwangi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Bernard Ngolepus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Issares Sinprasertwong went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Edwin Hassan hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. U21 Thailand walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
