In the 33rdth minute of the game Danny Clegg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 MZ Country's Mahieddine Bouzid was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to U21 MZ Country getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Fodil Otman hit a great ball. When Derek Darko came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the U21 Northern Ireland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Derek Darko couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
