With a left leg Lope Abellaneda saved U21 Bolivia from getting behind. 10 minutes into the match, U21 Bolivia's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Janis came free, but Lope Abellaneda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Kazimír Kuthan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Lope Abellaneda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. U21 Bolivia's Lope Abellaneda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavel Janis in the 17th minute of play. Enrique Parada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Jarmil Bůžek made a huge save. With a little luck, U21 Czech Republic's Jarmil Bůžek got control of the ball when Enrique Parada tried to sneak it across the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lope Abellaneda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Dalecký, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the game, Petr Balek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Czech Republic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Bolivia the free kick. Petr Balek kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Jarmil Bůžek acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 43rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rene Abechuco. Enrique Parada's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jarmil Bůžek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Kauldi Abar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the U21 Czech Republic defense, Salvadore Abaunza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jarmil Bůžek. The U21 Czech Republic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jarmil Bůžek should have stopped the shot.
