Spectators: 14377 (Terracing: 10000, Seating: 4027, VIP seats: 350) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Philip Congson took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the game, Kidlat Cabanit cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Stoyadin Shahov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sava Dodov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Pogi Macasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pogi Macasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Velcho Tzintzov in the 18th minute of play. Pogi Macasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Velcho Tzintzov in the 19th minute of the match. Stoyadin Shahov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waway Dequilla in the 21st minute. After 22 played minutes U21 Philippines got a freekick which was hit by Joel Ragot. With a little luck, U21 Bulgaria's Stoyadin Shahov got control of the ball when Waway Dequilla tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 33 minutes of play, U21 Bulgaria's Velislav Tzapov made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pogi Macasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in U21 Philippines's zone, Sava Dodov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pogi Macasa came out of the goal and Sava Dodov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Waway Dequilla made a precise shot to the right of Stoyadin Shahov. U21 Bulgaria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. 42 minutes into the match, U21 Philippines's goal looked a bit too open when Velcho Tzintzov came free, but Pogi Macasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pogi Macasa came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Bulgaria's Sava Dodov. But to his dismay, Sava Dodov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. With a little luck, U21 Bulgaria's Stoyadin Shahov got control of the ball when Kidlat Cabanit tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Velcho Tzintzov was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute of the match, Sava Dodov got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pogi Macasa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 61 minutes of play, U21 Bulgaria's Velcho Tzintzov made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 70th minute, Velislav Tzapov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pogi Macasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-6. U21 Bulgaria made a substitution. Yanek Marekov replaced Velislav Tzapov. 75 minutes into the match, U21 Philippines's goal looked a bit too open when Velcho Tzintzov came free, but Pogi Macasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as U21 Bulgaria's Velcho Tzintzov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pogi Macasa. That made the score 2-7 after 75 minutes of play. Nikola Kotkov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Pogi Macasa made a huge save. Pogi Macasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Velcho Tzintzov in the 79th minute of play. Velcho Tzintzov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Pogi Macasa made a huge save. Stoyadin Shahov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waway Dequilla in the 83rd minute of play. Nikola Kotkov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Pogi Macasa made a huge save. Pogi Macasa made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Velcho Tzintzov sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over U21 Bulgaria could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than U21 Philippines throughout the match.
