The U21 Czech Republic fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when U21 Czech Republic's Kazimír Kuthan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jarmil Bůžek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viktor Chvalný in the 12th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Kazimír Kuthan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Róbert Migaš was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Pavel Janis managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Czech Republic's supporters rose to their feet, but Pavel Janis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Róbert Migaš breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikola Krstović in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jarmil Bůžek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Nikola Krstović put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jarmil Bůžek. The supporters of U21 Czech Republic booed when U21 Slovakia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milan Škriniar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nikola Krstović to strike the kick off in the second half. U21 Czech Republic were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after U21 Slovakia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bohuslav Radosta took the corner. U21 Czech Republic's Bohuslav Radosta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Róbert Migaš in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 53 minutes, Adam Škrabák managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Slovakia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adam Škrabák was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kazimír Kuthan in the 56th minute of play forced U21 Slovakia's goalkeeper Róbert Migaš to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarmil Bůžek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikola Krstović, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. A very nice done corner allowed Kazimír Kuthan to score against Róbert Migaš in U21 Slovakia's goal. 2-2 after 68 minutes. 77 minutes into the match, U21 Czech Republic's Jan Dalecký sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Róbert Migaš narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jarmil Bůžek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikola Krstović, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. A collision led to U21 Slovakia getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Milan Škriniar hit a great ball. Jarmil Bůžek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Ďumbier in the 93rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Czech Republic's zone, Adam Škrabák stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarmil Bůžek came out of the goal and Adam Škrabák tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The U21 Czech Republic players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented U21 Slovakia from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
