In the 5thth minute of the game Philip Congson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Bolivia's Lope Abellaneda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Philip Congson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Philippines's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Bolivia the free kick. Philip Congson hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Lope Abellaneda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philip Congson in the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philip Congson in the 18th minute of play forced U21 Bolivia's goalkeeper Lope Abellaneda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lope Abellaneda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kidlat Cabanit, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 24 minutes into the match, U21 Philippines's goalkeeper Pogi Macasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaizko Abaurre. Waway Dequilla kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Pogi Macasa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rene Abechuco. If Kauldi Abar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pogi Macasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaizko Abaurre in the 39th minute. U21 Philippines's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Kauldi Abar scored to the left of an out of position Pogi Macasa, making the score, 2-1. U21 Bolivia made a substitution. Salvadore Abaunza replaced Gaizko Abaurre. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kauldi Abar to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, U21 Bolivia's Natanael Abascal got a free kick in the 54th minute. Lope Abellaneda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Congson, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Pogi Macasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvadore Abaunza in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th minute U21 Bolivia were awarded a corner. Rene Abechuco went to the cornerflag to take it. U21 Bolivia's Rene Abechuco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pogi Macasa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Pogi Macasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvadore Abaunza in the 65th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 68 minutes into the game, when Rene Abechuco put in a rough tackle. The goalkeeper, Lope Abellaneda, was totally fooled by U21 Philippines's Waway Dequilla, who 72 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Pogi Macasa came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Bolivia's Tobias Abarca. But to his dismay, Tobias Abarca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Enrique Parada hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Checa in the 88th minute of play forced U21 Philippines's goalkeeper Pogi Macasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the game, U21 Bolivia's David Checa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pogi Macasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. In the 94th match minute, U21 Philippines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pinong Magbitang to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the match, U21 Philippines's goal looked a bit too open when David Checa came free, but Pogi Macasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
