Seating: 1184, VIP seats: 103) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Petteri Hassinen made the kick off which started today's match. Louis Hasenkamp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sipi Laakkonen, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Taisto Bruun hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Finland's zone, Mark Simon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo Uhlbäck came out of the goal and Mark Simon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Leo Uhlbäck managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when U21 Luxembourg's Aaron Chevalier fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 10th match minute, U21 Luxembourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milo Bachmayer to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute Cédric Payen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Uhlbäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, U21 Luxembourg's Aaron Chevalier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leo Uhlbäck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0.
