An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Micu in the 7th minute of play forced Symba's goalkeeper Anis Achour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomás San Juan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ionică Mihaiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gus Wootton got free with Ionică Mihaiu in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 45 minutes into the game, Aristide Crivac was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. bullfinches's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Symba the free kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Symba had played much better football throughout.
