In the 9th minute of the match Davis Duff sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fulgencio Villalcazar skillfully saved the ball. Rhys Dimmock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belarmino Campos, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 16 minutes into the match, David Batuhin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rhys Dimmock. Zamalek FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Batuhin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 22nd minute Cuatrodeocho were awarded a corner. David Batuhin went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Kirkpatrick in the 24th minute of play forced Cuatrodeocho's goalkeeper Fulgencio Villalcazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute of the match Cuatrodeocho got a corner. Zamalek FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Batuhin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rhys Dimmock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Batuhin in the 30th minute of the match. Fulgencio Villalcazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daron Joseph, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. With a little luck, Zamalek FC's Rhys Dimmock got control of the ball when David Batuhin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cuatrodeocho were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Zamalek FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. David Batuhin took the corner. Rhys Dimmock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 46 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goal looked a bit too open when David Batuhin came free, but Rhys Dimmock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When David Batuhin came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Cuatrodeocho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Batuhin couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Batuhin made a kick off. The audience was convinced that David Batuhin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rhys Dimmock was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 56th minute David Batuhin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Dimmock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Zamalek FC defense, David Batuhin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rhys Dimmock. The Zamalek FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rhys Dimmock should have stopped the shot. If Andy Entrena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zamalek FC made a substitution. Leon Posadzki replaced Daron Joseph. 69 minutes into the game, Leon Posadzki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Fulgencio Villalcazar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Batuhin in the 74th minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Rhys Dimmock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rhys Dimmock didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Batuhin went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. David Batuhin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute, David Batuhin made a precise shot to the right of Rhys Dimmock. Zamalek FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. Rhys Dimmock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Batuhin in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Cuatrodeocho's David Batuhin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rhys Dimmock made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. Cuatrodeocho's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
