The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. George Buturugã showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Olayo in the 9th minute of the match. Conrado Olayo took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Buturugã. George Buturugã dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, LOI's goal looked a bit too open when Andrea De Toro came free, but George Buturugã reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Buturugã took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrea De Toro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21stth minute of the game Andrea De Toro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LOI's George Buturugã was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by LOI's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Florin Răducioiu was slow to take the kick. During this time Hummerfiskarna's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Rickard Malmström almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but LOI's George Buturugã did a great save. The supporters of Hummerfiskarna booed when LOI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cabbar Dinçay didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arnaldo Queirós made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Hummerfiskarna's Conrado Olayo got a free kick in the 54th minute. Arnaldo Queirós might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over George Buturugã. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnaldo Queirós ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 61stth minute of the game Sulo Montaña who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hummerfiskarna's Holger Mattsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnaldo Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hummerfiskarna made a substitution. Hummerfiskarna's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Florin Răducioiu in the 91st minute. Florin Răducioiu made a great header on Hummerfiskarna's corner, it was just that LOI's George Buturugã managed to reach the ball for a save. Holger Mattsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerimhan Cevher in the 95th minute of play.
