The audience was convinced that Paolo Rossi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mazinho Barreto was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Mazinho Barreto was left in no man's land by his defense there! FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciccio Bussi in the 11th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Di Toma got free with Giacomo Casanova in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Paolo Rossi came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Montesacro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paolo Rossi couldn't finish the play. Ciccio Bussi took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mazinho Barreto. Mazinho Barreto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After 31 played minutes FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA got a freekick which was hit by Modesto Smitmans. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loco Palermo in the 31st minute of play. Montesacro FC were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Juliusz Julien took the corner. After 40 minutes Montesacro FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hulk Orange who took care of the corner kick. The corner led FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's José Maria Cunha to fire away a dangerous shot which Giacomo Casanova despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Diego Di Toma hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Hulk Orange missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 48 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Giacomo Casanova right hand side. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA made a substitution. Yu Hong Yong replaced 于飞鹰. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's 梅响庭 was substituted for Diego Di Toma. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Loco Palermo made the kick off in the second half. Paolo Rossi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mazinho Barreto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Juliusz Julien took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mazinho Barreto. Mazinho Barreto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Mazinho Barreto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mathias Almeyda went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. The Montesacro FC fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Montesacro FC's Loco Palermo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Modesto Smitmans made in the 69th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jonathan Huly however managed to control. Giacomo Casanova showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Maria Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. José Maria Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Giacomo Casanova made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Maria Cunha in the 85th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Paolo Rossi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The Montesacro FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
