In the 9th minute, Viorel Cordescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horacio Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Aristide Iftodi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Aristide Iftodi managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Formentera's Domingo Urki fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Aurel Zeciu took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Joestar. Jonathan Joestar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domingo Urki got free with Aristide Iftodi in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd minute of the match Formentera got a corner. CF REALCipri's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fausto Cresencio ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jonathan Joestar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codruț Calota in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th match minute, Formentera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Fernández to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the game, Lucio Lehoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Formentera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CF REALCipri the free kick. After 27 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Lehoi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Codruț Calota in the 30th minute of play forced Formentera's goalkeeper Jonathan Joestar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Formentera's Hermengildo Jorrin got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Horacio Cordeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horacio Cordeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute, Horacio Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aristide Iftodi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Domingo Urki in the 43rd minute. After the first half CF REALCipri were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Codruț Calota was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, CF REALCipri's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernández came free, but Aristide Iftodi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Joestar was a little too slow when Codruț Calota got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 0-2. Jonathan Joestar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valeriu Marin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
