Kenneth Biörkquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Svante Petersson during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Bloodthirsty FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svante Petersson to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st match minute, Cambotinha EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Queirós to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Svante Petersson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Håkan Viklund got his second yellow card in the match during the 27th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Cambotinha EC booed when Bloodthirsty FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Håkan Viklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Aírton Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sakarias Ahlroth hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Bloodthirsty FC's Kenneth Biörkquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aírton Faria in the 45th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Svante Petersson made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Aírton Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth Biörkquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 58 minutes of play, Cambotinha EC's Chicão Valadares made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kenneth Biörkquist was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 60 minutes, Caetano Furtado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cambotinha EC and the Bloodthirsty FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kenneth Biörkquist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chicão Valadares in the 65th minute. Kenneth Biörkquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aírton Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute of the match, Aírton Faria tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kenneth Biörkquist saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 71 minutes, Svante Petersson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bloodthirsty FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Svante Petersson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bloodthirsty FC's Olof Västerberg was substituted for Nils Lidström. After 84 played minutes Cambotinha EC got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Romero. When Svante Petersson came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Bloodthirsty FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Svante Petersson couldn't finish the play. Inácio Romero's late challenge caught a Bloodthirsty FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inácio Romero helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th minute, Inácio Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peter Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sakarias Ahlroth in the 92nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cambotinha EC's zone, Sakarias Ahlroth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Čech came out of the goal and Sakarias Ahlroth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Bloodthirsty FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cambotinha EC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
