Mamba Mentality
Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Henry Bergvall got the match started through his kick off. When Henry Bergvall came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Black Mamba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henry Bergvall couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Indiana Jones's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hipolito Rico was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Verne Everett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Benjamin Tino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club El Progreso's Benjamin Tino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Club El Progreso from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Indiana Jones in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hipolito Rico prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benjamin Tino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelino Abecia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute of the match Black Mamba got a corner. Club El Progreso's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Danilo Lizer ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Black Mamba's corner Danilo Lizer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Benjamin Tino quite easily take care of the ball. In the 21st minute Indiana Jones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hipolito Rico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 played minutes Black Mamba got a freekick which was hit by Verne Everett. Anders Sellberg hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Benjamin Tino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Bergvall in the 30th minute of play. Hipolito Rico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Indiana Jones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Black Mamba's zone, Indiana Jones stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hipolito Rico came out of the goal and Indiana Jones tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benjamin Tino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Verne Everett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute, Henry Bergvall reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benjamin Tino. The goal made the score 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Indiana Jones stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Indiana Jones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Hipolito Rico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cleto Cordaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hipolito Rico read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Club El Progreso were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Black Mamba's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adolfo Fidensio took the corner. After a rather tough play, Black Mamba's Henry Bergvall got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 60 minutes Black Mamba's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adolfo Fidensio who took care of the corner kick. Hipolito Rico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Indiana Jones in the 69th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Club El Progreso's Hipolito Rico threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Indiana Jones, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 72ndth minute of the game Henry Bergvall who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club El Progreso's Benjamin Tino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Black Mamba's goal looked a bit too open when Indiana Jones came free, but Hipolito Rico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hipolito Rico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Indiana Jones, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Club El Progreso made a substitution. Enzo Bot replaced Indiana Jones. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Black Mamba's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adolfo Fidensio was slow to take the kick. During this time Club El Progreso's players had a chance to rest. Black Mamba's Hipolito Rico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleto Cordaro in the 91st minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
