Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joel Servando got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute, Joel Servando ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Javier Valente was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 8 minutes into the game, Ismael Jenaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Unidad de Matanza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Celta de Virgos the free kick. In the 8th match minute, Unidad de Matanza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Jenaro to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute Joel Servando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Valente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Nunez Savier fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Unidad de Matanza's protests and gave Nunez Savier a yellow card for diving instead. Nunez Savier kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Joel Servando's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Javier Valente was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Celta de Virgos's Leopoldo Constancio got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 24thth minute of the game Joel Servando who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unidad de Matanza's Javier Valente was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 26th match minute, Unidad de Matanza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elvio Urtungo to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th match minute, Unidad de Matanza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Castulo to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Joel Servando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 32 minutes, Joel Servando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celta de Virgos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Servando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 36 minutes, Bernabe Estavan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Celta de Virgos and the Unidad de Matanza players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Celta de Virgos's Bernabe Estavan got a free kick in the 36th minute. Herminio Pirmin made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Melchor Theodore sent off a good shot on target. The Unidad de Matanza players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Celta de Virgos were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santos Borre was the one to do the kick off. With 61 minutes on the clock, Eulalio Dodorol commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Celta de Virgos made a substitution. Ernesto Iraitz replaced Joel Servando. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Celta de Virgos! The supporters of Unidad de Matanza booed when Celta de Virgos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Constancio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernesto Iraitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Javier Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Theodore in the 75th minute of play forced Celta de Virgos's goalkeeper Herminio Pirmin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute Ismael Jenaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Pirmin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celta de Virgos's Herminio Pirmin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Jenaro in the 80th minute of play. Ernesto Iraitzs short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Javier Valente to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Herminio Pirmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Theodore in the 83rd minute of play. In the 96th minute, Ruben Millano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
