In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Hannes Saenger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 20th minute of the game, Arnaldo Baiano landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Hannes Saenger was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, FC Wil 1900's Hannes Saenger got control of the ball when Laércio Paraíba tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Wil 1900's Cliff Tschupp got a free kick in the 39th minute. Sport Club Mavericks's 范诚松 quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Popcorn Knoblauch, made in the 43rd minute of the game. The supporters of FC Wil 1900 booed when Sport Club Mavericks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bater Noppe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sport Club Mavericks's 卓银弘 was substituted for Laércio Paraíba. After a rather tough play, Sport Club Mavericks's Bater Noppe got a free kick in the 48th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 卓银弘 to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Dre Schipmans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hannes Saenger. FC Wil 1900's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dre Schipmans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Dre Schipmans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hannes Saenger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Sport Club Mavericks were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after FC Wil 1900's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mathias de Queiroz took the corner. The corner ended in Mathias de Queiroz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Wil 1900's Hannes Saenger did a great save. In the 62nd minute, Dre Schipmans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hannes Saenger was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. With an all-out effort, FC Wil 1900's Marcelo Gröhe threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joshua Anderhub, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 69th minute Dre Schipmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hannes Saenger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hannes Saenger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 卓银弘 in the 71st minute of play. When Marcos Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Club Mavericks's protests and gave Marcos Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. Marcos Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 5-0 when 卓银弘 sped through FC Wil 1900's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hannes Saenger. Sport Club Mavericks's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
