Artur Boruc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gianluigi Donnarumma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwo Laba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zbyszko Mazierskis short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Gianluigi Donnarumma to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of FC Pierońskie Hanysy booed when S.E.R. Caxias do Sul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Komen Grama didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artur Boruc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Sanches in the 31st minute of play. After 33 played minutes FC Pierońskie Hanysy got a freekick which was hit by Franciszek Lemiesz. Artur Boruc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leopoldo Sanches in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artur Boruc saved FC Pierońskie Hanysy from getting behind. Artur Boruc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Sanches in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 55th minute Iwo Laba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluigi Donnarumma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caxias do Sul's Gianluigi Donnarumma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dobromir Brack in the 64th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Pierońskie Hanysy's Stefan Jajesniak got a free kick in the 97th minute. 98 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Sanches recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Artur Boruc. Leopoldo Sanches showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. The S.E.R. Caxias do Sul players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
