Cornelius Bjørgo was slow to take the kick. During this time AEK FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Cornelius Bjørgo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Baiarte Cazares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Leonard Sandvær's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Baiarte Cazares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Leonard Sandvær did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Baiarte Cazares 29 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Steve Triganza could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Baiarte Cazares however easily saved by the left post. A sloppy throw-in by Erland Slyngstad in the 37th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Deportivo ScrugenFC's Caradaro Arismendi. Kenneth Knudsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo ScrugenFC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After some careless play in the Deportivo ScrugenFC defense, Steve Triganza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baiarte Cazares. The Deportivo ScrugenFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baiarte Cazares should have stopped the shot. Deportivo ScrugenFC's Baiarte Cazares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Remme in the 70th minute of play.
