Kaviedes Cordova went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Red Reign's Pablo Beloso to fire away a dangerous shot which Quinito Cifuentes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 10 minutes into the game, one of Cuatrodeocho:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 11 minutes of play, Red Reign's Carlos Jimilio made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Quinito Cifuentes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cuatrodeocho's Madeo Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arlín Telleria in the 21st minute of play forced Cuatrodeocho's goalkeeper Quinito Cifuentes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arlín Telleria received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Quinito Cifuentes came out and tried to block the shot, but Arlín Telleria slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 23rd minute. Red Reign's Arlín Telleria got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arlín Telleria struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Quinito Cifuentes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Red Reign. After a rather tough play, Red Reign's Lopez Portanares got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Arlín Telleria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Reign's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arlín Telleria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arlín Telleria in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Quinito Cifuentes saved Cuatrodeocho from getting behind. Lopez Portanares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th match minute, Red Reign was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Machado Pacios to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arlín Telleria to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Aragones during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
