The coaching staff of Remedios SC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Horácio Maciel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Remedios SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! Arnaldo Eger had in the 6thth minute some difficulties stopping Jack Walroth's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Eduardo Beltrami took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnaldo Eger. Arnaldo Eger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Arnaldo Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juss Vagula in the 12th minute of play. Eduardo Beltrami received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Arnaldo Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remedios SC's Arnaldo Eger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Remedios SC from getting a goal against them. Arnaldo Eger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juss Vagula in the 23rd minute of the match. After 23 played minutes Remedios SC got a freekick which was hit by Celsinho Goiano. After a rather tough play, Remedios SC's Zé Augusto Sena got a free kick in the 27th minute. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Eduardo Beltrami took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Arnaldo Eger to make any attempt to save it. Arnaldo Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beila Illan, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Arnaldo Eger didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 37th minute, which inside left pole to 4-0. Arnaldo Eger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eduardo Beltrami in the 42nd minute. After 43 played minutes Remedios SC got a freekick which was hit by Zé Augusto Sena. Arnaldo Eger was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Jack Walroth capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jack Walroth really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jack Walroth to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Jack Walroth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnaldo Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juss Vagula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Jack Walroth had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnaldo Eger. Remedios SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jack Walroth was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. After 62 minutes, Eliseu Seco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Remedios SC and the Grimório players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Grimório booed when Remedios SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseu Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Remedios SC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Amílton Sergipano hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the match, Remedios SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Walroth came free, but Arnaldo Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnaldo Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juss Vagula in the 69th minute of play. Remedios SC's Arnaldo Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Beltrami in the 70th minute of play. After 71 minutes of play, Grimório's Juss Vagula made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnaldo Eger was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Grimório booed when Remedios SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celsinho Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnaldo Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Beltrami, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Arnaldo Eger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juss Vagula in the 81st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Beltrami in the 83rd minute of play forced Remedios SC's goalkeeper Arnaldo Eger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 played minutes Remedios SC got a freekick which was hit by Alix Duchaussoy. 91 minutes into the match, Remedios SC's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Beltrami came free, but Arnaldo Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduardo Beltrami fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Eger having to interfere. After 93 played minutes Remedios SC got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Reis. Eduardo Beltrami scored 8-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnaldo Eger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
