The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thibaut Courtois made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Art Rhoades sent off a good shot on target. In the 7th minute, Art Rhoades reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thibaut Courtois. The goal made the score 1-0. After 12 minutes, Odysseas Portoulidis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tabachana F.C. and the Persepolis F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tabachana F.C.'s Thibaut Courtois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Beltran in the 13th minute of play. Dennis Rhoades made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avraam Lykoudis in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merlin Amireau in the 22nd minute of play forced Tabachana F.C.'s goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Avraam Lykoudis in the 24th minute of play forced Persepolis F.C.'s goalkeeper Dennis Rhoades to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Odis Godfrey kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kostas Toskas in the 30th minute of play forced Persepolis F.C.'s goalkeeper Dennis Rhoades to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Panos Pachopoulos hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Joel Beltran hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. A collision led to Tabachana F.C. getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Odysseas Portoulidis hit a great ball. When Odysseas Portoulidis came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Tabachana F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Odysseas Portoulidis couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Art Rhoades was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Art Rhoades in the 52nd minute of play forced Tabachana F.C.'s goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Persepolis F.C. were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Tabachana F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Odis Godfrey took the corner. The corner ended in Odis Godfrey almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tabachana F.C.'s Thibaut Courtois did a great save. After a rather tough play, Persepolis F.C.'s Joel Beltran got a free kick in the 55th minute. Dennis Rhoades made an important save on a dangerous shot by Avraam Lykoudis in the 60th minute. With a little luck, Persepolis F.C.'s Dennis Rhoades got control of the ball when Avraam Lykoudis tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Persepolis F.C. booed when Tabachana F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexis Idrotoglou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexis Idrotoglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Kostas Toskas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tabachana F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Kostas Toskas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennis Rhoades breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dennis Rhoades made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Avraam Lykoudis sent off a good shot on target. Tabachana F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kostas Toskas in the 82nd minute. Thibaut Courtois came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Persepolis F.C.'s Merlin Amireau. But to his dismay, Merlin Amireau quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Joel Beltran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thibaut Courtois having to interfere. Art Rhoades's late challenge caught a Tabachana F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Art Rhoades helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Persepolis F.C.'s Art Rhoades got a free kick in the 89th minute. Avraam Lykoudis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Dennis Rhoades made a huge save. 93 minutes into the match, Tabachana F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Rudolph came free, but Thibaut Courtois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alexis Idrotoglou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
