The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Lyons defense, Émeric Giraudo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victoriano Ferran. The Lyons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victoriano Ferran should have stopped the shot. 21 minutes into the game, Émeric Giraudo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Victoriano Ferran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 24 minutes of play, Tours Football Club's Émeric Giraudo made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victoriano Ferran was left in no man's land by his defense there! Victoriano Ferran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Émeric Giraudo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Émeric Giraudo notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Lyons's Victoriano Ferran. Victoriano Ferran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Charles-Emmanuel Bouquet kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Romuald Requena made in the 39th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Lyons's Narciso Guter. 42 minutes into the match, Émeric Giraudo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victoriano Ferran. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Émeric Giraudo in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victoriano Ferran prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Flavio Checa to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Émeric Giraudo in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victoriano Ferran saved Lyons from getting behind. In the 54th minute, Tours Football Club's Émeric Giraudo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Victoriano Ferran. Victoriano Ferran yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. In the 57th match minute, Tours Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sofiane Sahli to maneuver through the defense. After 59 played minutes, Lyons's Mario Peio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nathan Bayon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lyons reached it. Émeric Giraudo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Ferran having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Sofiane Sahli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victoriano Ferran was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. Émeric Giraudo might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victoriano Ferran. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Émeric Giraudo ran back to his position shaking his head. Émeric Giraudo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-10 to the left of a surprised Victoriano Ferran 69 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Adan Ramond in the 74th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Tours Football Club's Guy Jourdan. Victoriano Ferran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Émeric Giraudo in the 75th minute of play. Victoriano Ferran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Émeric Giraudo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Émeric Giraudo got free with Victoriano Ferran in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lyons's Victoriano Ferran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Lyons from getting a goal against them. Victoriano Ferran was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Émeric Giraudo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-11 in the 88 minute of play. If Sofiane Sahli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Tours Football Club's Émeric Giraudo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-12.
