Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Azeari Reganado successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 28th minute Marquinhos Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Azeari Reganado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 32 minutes into the game, when Oswaldo Vaz put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of FÊNIX F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Res Non Verba:s goal. Alfredo Paraibano had in the 34thth minute some difficulties stopping Adalberto Salazar's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. If Kauã Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Chavarri came free, but Alfredo Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Narciso Agudiez made a kick off. Azeari Reganado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Teixeira in the 51st minute of play. Narciso Agudiez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Alfredo Paraibano made a huge save. The supporters of Res Non Verba booed when FÊNIX F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genílson Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marquinhos Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FÊNIX F.C.'s Alfredo Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalberto Salazar in the 66th minute of play. Eliseo Arnuero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Paraibano having to make a save. Azeari Reganado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquinhos Teixeira in the 72nd minute of the match. Res Non Verba's Azeari Reganado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauã Moreno in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute Marquinhos Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Azeari Reganado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Azeari Reganado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Paulo Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
