A collision led to Heavenly Hooters getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Phil Naylor hit a great ball. Phil Naylor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Sergio Goycochea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Mané Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute of the match Phil Naylor sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sergio Goycochea skillfully saved the ball. In the 19th minute, Heavenly Hooters's Todd Griffiths ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sergio Goycochea. Sergio Goycochea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Sergio Goycochea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brandon Wright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luo Feng Feng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Sergio Goycochea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lennie Rusby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Gaueko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Bernal in the 25th minute of play forced Heavenly Hooters's goalkeeper Lennie Rusby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sergio Goycochea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Todd Griffiths, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mané Lago during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Heavenly Hooters booed when Sacro Balompié was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mané Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 37 minutes of play, Sacro Balompié's Aquiles Bieito made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lennie Rusby was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lennie Rusby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Gaueko, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, Sacro Balompié's Rafael Márquez got a free kick in the 41st minute. Marty King could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Sergio Goycochea made a huge save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marty King stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Heavenly Hooters's Lennie Rusby proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 50th minute of the match, managed to save Heavenly Hooters from getting a goal against them. Marty King took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergio Goycochea. Sergio Goycochea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After 55 minutes of play, Sacro Balompié's Jeremias Gaueko made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lennie Rusby was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teobaldo Bernal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Sacro Balompié's goal looked a bit too open when Marty King came free, but Sergio Goycochea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sacro Balompié's Sergio Goycochea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marty King in the 61st minute of play. After 62 played minutes Sacro Balompié got a freekick which was hit by Mané Lago. In the 64th match minute, Sacro Balompié was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mané Lago to maneuver through the defense. Lennie Rusby didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iker Shepherd went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Heavenly Hooters's Felix Hitchcock was substituted for Lico Aldazabal. Heavenly Hooters made a substitution. Adrian Collier replaced Richárd Bódog. An unexpectedly hard shot by Todd Connery in the 84th minute of play forced Sacro Balompié's goalkeeper Sergio Goycochea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sacro Balompié's Sergio Goycochea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Todd Connery in the 85th minute of play. In the 89th minute Todd Connery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Goycochea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 91 minutes of play, Heavenly Hooters's Todd Griffiths made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sergio Goycochea was left in no man's land by his defense there! The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
