Ionuț Năsturel was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Buzău's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilie Nasta in the 24th minute of play forced Breguete FC's goalkeeper Durval Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anton Şteflea hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Ionuț Năsturel managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Buzău's supporters rose to their feet, but Ionuț Năsturel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Durval Coutinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Durval Coutinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ilie Nasta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Célio Meira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Alex Buzincu made a huge save. After 33 played minutes Breguete FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Dante. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emilian Răduța in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Durval Coutinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th minute, Artur Pereira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ilie Nasta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Breguete FC's Durval Coutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vlad Dragomiroiu in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vlad Dragomiroiu to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes FC Buzău got a freekick which was hit by Aristide Vlădoiu. Célio Meira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alex Buzincu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Breguete FC's goalkeeper Durval Coutinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vlad Dragomiroiu. 59 minutes into the game, Aristide Vlădoiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Durval Coutinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 62 minutes of play, Breguete FC's Sidnei Mineiro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex Buzincu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Durval Coutinho was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Emilian Răduța showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 85 minute of play. After having played for 88 minutes, Emilian Răduța managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Buzău's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilian Răduța was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Breguete FC's Artur Pereira got a free kick in the 91st minute. With an all-out effort, FC Buzău's Durval Coutinho threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ilie Nasta, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Breguete FC's Durval Coutinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Breguete FC from getting a goal against them. In the 96th minute, Benê Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Buzău's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
