After 2 played minutes Academica Pulheim got a freekick which was hit by Moritz Christe. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moritz Christe in the 4th minute of play forced Sagene IF's goalkeeper Olav Westad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Ercole Armellini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivar Stensrud. Olav Westad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moritz Christe, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Olav Westad came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Academica Pulheim's Pinkus Mack. But to his dismay, Pinkus Mack quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Olav Westad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moritz Christe in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moritz Christe in the 17th minute of play forced Sagene IF's goalkeeper Olav Westad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Moritz Christe made a precise shot to the right of Olav Westad. Sagene IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Academica Pulheim's Carl Kröger managed to work through Sagene IF's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Carl Kröger dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 39th minute, Hardi Tornau ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olav Westad was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pinkus Mack in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olav Westad saved Sagene IF from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivar Stensrud made a kick off. Pinkus Mack fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olav Westad having to interfere. Sagene IF's Olav Westad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pinkus Mack in the 59th minute of play. Academica Pulheim's Meinolf Rebe was substituted for Pinkus Mack. Meinolf Rebe's late challenge caught a Sagene IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Meinolf Rebe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, Meinolf Rebe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Bert Brandes replaced Malte Rastätter. Ivar Stensrud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ercole Armellini having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Tore Sæterdal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Academica Pulheim's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
