With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christoph Haßelmann in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harry Drewitz saved IFK Ranger from getting behind. Per Trillkott was shown his second yellow card after 8 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, IFK Ranger's Per Trillkott got a free kick in the 9th minute. Harry Drewitz came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Pau Nas Canelas's Palmiro Picasso. But to his dismay, Palmiro Picasso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Harry Drewitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lech Biraga in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to Pau Nas Canelas getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Lech Biraga hit a great ball. In the 16th match minute, Pau Nas Canelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Souto to maneuver through the defense. Harry Drewitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Palmiro Picasso in the 19th minute. Palmiro Picasso scored 2-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Harry Drewitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If 董真林 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Palmiro Picasso sped through IFK Ranger's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Harry Drewitz. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Palmiro Picasso took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Harry Drewitz to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in IFK Ranger's zone, Palmiro Picasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harry Drewitz came out of the goal and Palmiro Picasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christoph Haßelmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, IFK Ranger's goalkeeper Harry Drewitz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Palmiro Picasso. Harry Drewitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Palmiro Picasso in the 40th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christoph Haßelmann was the one to do the kick off. Pau Nas Canelas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Palmiro Picasso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonard Åhlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Hilário Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nunez Sasoin lost his temper 90 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to Pau Nas Canelas getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Nunez Sasoin hit a great ball. Pau Nas Canelas's Hilário Neiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Pau Nas Canelas from getting a goal against them. Pau Nas Canelas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
